TAKO - Technology for monitoring biomass in commercial seaweed farming
How do you monitor growth in large seaweed farms far out at sea? The project is developing digital technology that makes it possible to…
The Gothenburg region has a leading position with the most test beds in the country. There are over 80 test beds in the form of various labs, constructed and simulated user environments and real-life environments where technologies or processes are tested in real life.
Are you developing drones or unmanned systems (UAV/UxV)? We have a large number of test beds for drones in the region. Among other things, there is a wind tunnel where you can test how the drone reacts in different climates and in different wind strengths. There are also good opportunities to test on water in the immediate vicinity or via the Swedish Polar Research Secretariat, which has a test facility in Gothenburg.
We also have access to airfields and airports where it is free to use the airspace, however, permission is required.
The Swedish Armed Forces have also established a UAS (Unmanned Aerial System) center at K3 in Karlsborg to lead the development of drone operations within the Swedish Armed Forces. The center brings together expertise to be able to deliver new drone technology to the armed forces more quickly. The work focuses, among other things, on testing and evaluating new systems, both for reconnaissance and logistics, and on developing methods for detecting, combating and protecting against drones.
We work closely with University West, which opens the doors to testing environments in a range of areas. They also offer access to highly qualified advice from researchers and engineers in the fields:
