Incubator ranked as one of Sweden's best - receives SEK 14.6 million
Innovatum Science Parks runs the only incubator in the country focused on industrial technology. Now the business has once again passed Vinnova's tough review and retains its classification as an excellence incubator for 2025-2029. In addition to the quality stamp, funding of a total of SEK 14.6 million is also provided.
- This is an incredibly important quality certificate for our operations and the startup companies we support," says Eivind Vogel-Rödin, Head of Startup Operations at Innovatum Science Park.
As an excellence incubator, Innovatum Science Park is part of the National Incubator Program (NIP), which is part of Sweden's strategy to increase the number of new and knowledge-intensive growth companies in Sweden.
The quality stamp is given to high-quality, established incubators that meet Vinnova's requirements regarding both work processes and offers as well as the level of innovation and active gender equality and sustainability work.
Huge opportunities in deep tech and additive manufacturing
Every year, the incubator evaluates more than 150 business ideas and up to 20 new idea owners are admitted to the incubator program, many of whom run hardware startups.
What makes it stand out among incubators is its focus on industrial technology. Innovatum Science Park is one of the main partners in the Production Technology Center (PTC ) test and demo facility, where the combination of infrastructure, networking and incubation offers great opportunities for start-up companies.
- The PTC ecosystem is unique in the world! For startups, enormous opportunities are created here. Not only through access to technical equipment, but also the network and all the knowledge that is centralized in Trollhättan from both GKN Aerospace, University West and other partners in the network. With the help of Vinnova's continued support, we can gear up and develop the next generation of incubator systems," concludes Eivind, who is also chairman of the steering group of the Production Technology Center.
Some of the excellent start-ups supported by Innovatum Science Park's incubator are Procada, Chassis Autonomy and Odosolutions.
Innovatum Science Park is located in the heart of the Innovatum District in Trollhättan.
The Production Technology Center (PTC) consists of 3600 m2 of equipment. Large amounts have been invested in equipment over the years and the high-tech machinery is unique in its kind.
