An arena for collaboration
Sweden has good conditions for automated production, with the technical prerequisites in the form of a well-developed industry and world-leading research in robotics and automation. A more widespread automation of Swedish industry is the way to increased productivity and greater efficiency.
That is why Automation Day is an important event, which in comparison with a regular technology fair offers an arena where like-minded people with an interest in automation and smart technology solutions can meet and exchange experiences and make essential business contacts
The atmosphere is high in the Production Technology Center where about 20 exhibitors showcase a wonderful mix of robots, automation equipment, new products, services and concepts for skills development to be inspired by. In the mingle, industry colleagues, suppliers, students and researchers meet to discuss and take part in new technology solutions and services
- Even though there are not many builders here, there are many who have a machine mindset and understand the logic of modularization, it's nice to see that there is an interest, says Patrik Jensen at Inwoco AB, which uses renewable components to build wall modules prepared for disassembly and reuse.
In the booth next to Inwoco we find Per Schjelderup from Camatec, which supplies the machines for Inwoco's production.
- "This is the first time we have participated in Automaton Day," says Per, site manager at Camatec Stockholm. It is thanks to this gang (Inwoco) that we have joined the network Tillverka i Trä and Produktionstekniskt Centrum. I think it's fun to be here and meet other exhibitors and new potential customers.
One of the exhibitors was the Production Technology Center's newest member, SSP North AB, which offers security systems.
- It is a fantastic opportunity to be here, I have already made contact with both the University of West and Gothenburg Technical College who want to use our products in their education, says Mats Linger, CEO SSP North AB.
