The world is changing and so are we, now that we are becoming Innovatum Science Park and at the same time increasing our focus on industrial technology.
Located in the heart of Trollhättan's industrial history, on the site where steam locomotives and diesel engines were once manufactured, is Innovatum Science Park. Today, we have almost 25 years of experience in supporting the development of a sustainable and competitive business community. A task that is now further concentrated on industrial technology to increase efficiency in a necessary transition.
̶ We have little time to keep up with the transition that must take place before 2030. Industry is a significant part of the country's economy and is the basis for much of our welfare - not least here in western Sweden - and it is now facing major challenges. At the same time, we are in the midst of a climate crisis, which means that we must quickly increase the scale and pace of the introduction of efficient and sustainable solutions," says Martin Wänblom, CEO of Innovatum Science Park.
Industrial technologies for a faster transition
After the steam engine, electricity and electronics, we are now in the fourth industrial revolution, Industry 4.0, with automation, digitalization and more resource-efficient technologies that can be applied in many different areas.
̶ By clearly focusing on industrial technology, we will be stronger, together with the business community, University West, and other partners, to really make a difference. Regardless of where the technologies are applied, whether in the aviation, wood or seafood industries. The aim is to contribute to development throughout the region and beyond.
