TAKO - Technology for monitoring biomass in commercial seaweed farming
How do you monitor growth in large seaweed farms far out at sea? The project is developing digital technology that makes it possible to…
The program runs for six months and is divided into four phases.
During the program, you will participate in knowledge-building activities that will equip you to navigate and do business in the defense market. If you are in need of capital, you will also have the opportunity to meet with investors—both at special events and through targeted matchmaking based on your company’s needs.
The team is matched with mentors and competencies adapted to your business, your team and your technology. Within a few weeks, you will have the opportunity to present your solution to end users for early and valuable feedback. In parallel, a Readiness Radar is carried out to map your strengths and weaknesses in terms of technology, financing, operations and market adaptation. The result helps you identify possible development paths forward and a company-specific plan for the next six months is developed.
This phase also includes a mandatory workshop where you gain knowledge about how you need to approach security and risk analysis in the early phase based on your business. We want to ensure that you do not make early mistakes that reduce your chances of becoming a supplier to defense-related actors.
With the feedback from phase 1, the focus is now on further developing the solution. The product or solution is developed in parallel with mapping requirements from tenders, competitive analysis and go-to-market strategy assumptions. After an initial digital step, the work moves to lab or field test environments and we match you with relevant environments.
Market preparation focusing on procurement, standards, exports and contracts.
Strategies are set and challenged to ensure realistic plans, and the solution is tested by end users. The work culminates in an investable pitch deck and a plan for funding, production and scaling. The phase ends with a joint Demo Day for all participants.
For four weeks after the end of the program, you are offered follow-up coaching to ensure, for example, business plan, certifications, production or international expansion. You will then become part of a growing network of entrepreneurs, mentors, buyers and investors in dual use and defense.
