Childlife is on in Shift Capital

Last updated: 2023-02-09 16:53

528 teams applied to Shift Capital, where at least SEK 1 million in investment is in the pot. 40 teams have now advanced to the semi-finals and will pitch to the investor panel. Childlife, led by Emma Lundgren, is one of them.

In 2021, Breakit and the organization Bling Startup started the Shift Capital initiative. The vision was to connect the venture capital around Stureplan with the sharpest entrepreneurs in the city and the countryside. The initiative is now in its third year and Childlife, which is part of our incubator, has moved on.

- It feels very exciting! I'm very happy that we have moved on so that more people can see our fantastic product. I look forward to meeting the jury and pitching," says Emma Lundgren.

After the semi-finals, 10 teams will be selected for the final, which will take place in Stockholm on March 14. The winner is then guaranteed an investment of at least SEK 1 million from the Shift investors. The other 9 teams will each receive SEK 100,000 in a grant from the investor panel. In addition, they also have the chance to receive an investment from the panel.

The app for all parents

With more than 12,000 photos of children unorganized on her mobile phone, Emma, a nurse at the child health centre, had an idea for an app. This laid the foundation for Childlife, which now helps parents collect pictures, memories and documentation about their child's development. The app also functions as a digital BVC book and contains tips on parenting.

Emma is herself a mother of four and has followed families closely for many years in her work as a district nurse at a child health center. She has used this experience in the design of the app.

The Childlife app is free and available for download on the App Store and Google Play.
