More than 1000 entrepreneurs applied to the Shift startup competition. 152 teams have moved on. Among them are Smart Urine, Statera, Mounid and Savedit - four companies from Innovatum Science Park's startup incubator.
In February, Breakit and the organization Bling Startup launched the Shift initiative. The vision was to connect the venture capital around Stureplan with the sharpest entrepreneurs in the city and the countryside.
The entrepreneurs who have made it through are now being trained in an entrepreneurship bootcamp. Over the course of three weeks, they will be given tools to hone their business ideas and sharpen their skills in marketing, PR, corporate strategy, sustainability, leadership and much more.
After the bootcamp, all participants are re-evaluated and 10 to 20 teams move on to the next stage of the challenge - personal coaching. Finally, the last selection is made and during a live final in May, around 10 teams get the chance to pitch their cases in front of 11 well-qualified investors. The prize is several million in venture capital!
