They compete for our prize in the Venture Cup

Finalists - Innovatum Science Park - Venture Cup

On May 7, the regional final of Sweden's largest business idea competition Venture Cup will be held. As in previous years, we have our own prize for the western region - the Innovatum Science Park Award. The winner receives SEK 10,000 and is admitted to the incubator. Here you can keep track of the finalists.

Korall
To achieve climate goals, we need to take drastic action. This is where Korall comes in. The team has developed a technology that captures carbon dioxide directly from the surrounding air and encapsulates it. Once captured, there are two options: either it is buried for permanent storage underground, where it can mineralize in the bedrock so as not to return to the atmosphere. Or it can be transformed to create new, green products.

Mareld

Mareld
All food consumed by humans must undergo an incredible number of tests to ensure the quality of the products. Today, the process is very time-consuming and for a dairy producing 55,000 liters of milk per hour, or a packaging producer producing 82 tons of material per hour, every minute and hour matters! Mareld has developed technology that can provide a prediction of the result already after 8 hours, reducing the test time up to 89%.

GRALG UF

GRALG UF
GRALG develops a climate-positive, ecological and organic algae-based fertilizer. By utilizing wastewater from treatment plants, they create a circular business model. The fertilizer consists of 100% green algae and has the essential substances that plants need. Unlike artificial fertilizers, organic fertilizers create a long-term healthy and fertile soil and do not lead to eutrophication of seas and lakes. With GRALG's concept, land and water that otherwise cannot be used for other crops can be utilized.

AlgeLume

AlgeLume
Pollution in indoor air affects our health and can cause headaches, fatigue and various respiratory symptoms. AlgeLume wants to solve this problem using microalgae. The team is creating a new type of air purifier that combines design, smart functionality and uses microalgae to filter out pollutants and produce fresh air. The product is also circular as the algae can be used as fertilizer for indoor plants.
