Fyrbodal's big business idea competition is back!

For the second year, the Innovatum Science Park Startup Challenge business idea competition is now being organized, where start-ups and aspiring entrepreneurs from Fyrbodal can compete for great prizes. The winner receives a SEK 25,000 entrepreneurship grant from Swedbank, a place at the incubator and services worth SEK 100,000.

The competition is open until November 6 and the winner will be crowned during a final in Trollhättan on December 6.

- "We are looking for individuals or teams with innovative business ideas that want a kick-start to get going. This year we are increasing the prize money significantly to give the winner good conditions to further develop the idea as quickly as possible," says Eivind Vogel-Rödin, Head of Operations at Innovatum Science Park's incubator.

Open to business ideas in all sectors

The competition is open to business ideas in all types of industries. The important thing is that the solutions presented meet a clear market need, are innovative, have high growth potential and contribute to sustainable development in one way or another. You can compete alone or in teams.

- Last year's competition attracted many interesting ideas and people and we hope for even more this year. If you have an idea with the potential to become something big, don't hesitate to apply!

Herbox water 2021

Linn Rosenqvist and Hanna Lauste from Orust won the 2021 prize with the business idea Herbox , which is about making menstrual protection available. In connection with the win, they were given a place at Innovatum Science Park's incubator and since then development has gone at breakneck speed.

- A major milestone was when we won the competition. Through the incubator we have received incredible support. Both in the form of a coach with whom we can brainstorm and ask questions. We have also received tremendous legal and financial support that has been very crucial to how far we have come today," says Hanna Lauste from Herbox about her time in the incubator.

Carjoy was also among the finalists, and they also took a place in the incubator. In April, they launched Sweden's first service with mobile vehicle technicians and in June they raised millions in investment.
