On May 4-6, 2025, Rymdforum is back in Trollhättan and one of the keynote speakers is astronaut Marcus Wandt. Behind the conference is Föreningen Rymdforum, and the organizers are Trollhättan City, GKN Aerospace, Innovatum Science Park and University West.

- It is fantastic that Rymdforum is back in Trollhättan, in the middle of a dynamic ecosystem of research, development and innovation! Space is an important area that greatly affects our society. We at Innovatum Science Park work to promote space-related entrepreneurship, and for almost ten years we have been the West Swedish node for Sweden's space incubator ESA-BIC. Rymdforum contributes to strengthening collaborations, skills supply and Sweden's position as a prominent space nation, says Linda Bohlin Trajkovski, CEO of Innovatum Science Park.

Space Forum is organized every two years and 2025 will be the third time Trollhättan hosts it. The conference brings together decision-makers, young space professionals, industry, students and researchers to discuss future opportunities in the space sector.

-"We offer an exciting program with national and international keynote speakers, panel debates, innovative exhibitions, networking events and study visits," says Anki Carlsson, Project Manager for Space Forum at the City of Trollhättan.

Space Week - a space week for all ages

In parallel with the conference, Space Week will offer space-inspired activities for young and old alike. Highlights include an inspirational lecture by astronaut Marcus Wandt who will meet with school students to raise interest in future education and careers in technology and space.

At Innovatum Science Center, space will be the focus and a range of space-related activities are expected to take place for both the general public and school students. The existing space exhibition will also be given a facelift.

Innovatum Science Park will also host a birthday celebration as the national space incubator ESA-BIC turns 10. More information will be available at the beginning of the year.

Trollhättan plays a key role

Trollhättan has long played a key role in the space industry. Innovatum Science Park runs the West Swedish node of Sweden's space incubator ESA-BIC and supports startups in space technology.

GKN Aerospace has a broad involvement in the European space collaboration Ariane, and University West conducts cutting-edge research that is directly relevant to the space industry, for example in additive manufacturing.
