InsulinSaver nominated for Startup of the Year
During the Trollhättan Business Awards on January 31, Innovatum Science Park will present the Startup of the Year award. InsulinSaver is one of three nominated companies.
Every year, insulin worth SEK 60 million is thrown away in Sweden alone because of diabetics' uncertainty about whether the insulin has been stored at the right temperature. Globally, it is estimated to be worth billions!
InsulinSaver's founders Hanna and Oskar Dahl want to increase safety for diabetics and help reduce waste. They have developed an innovative temperature meter that warns if the medicine is exposed to the wrong temperature.
In 2024, the team has raised investment, started a study together with Lund University and expanded internationally. Today, the product is sold by 14 retailers in 9 countries.
