Collaboration between industry, society and academia is becoming increasingly important to drive innovation and create sustainable development. That's the view of Magnus Kuschel, a new innovation leader in energy.

- We have a very exciting time ahead of us, and there are a number of areas where a concerted effort is needed.Fossil-free electrification, digitalization and circular business models are examples that can contribute to a desirable transition. At the same time, there are complex challenges. I look forward to being involved in driving collaboration that generates added value," says Magnus, who is a newly recruited innovation leader at West Sweden Energy Agency, part of Innovatum Science Park.

Digitalization is a key factor

In his role as innovation leader, Magnus will, among other things, work to connect companies, academia, organizations and actors in the public sector and civil society. The goal is to create benefits through more space for good ideas, exciting innovative collaborative projects and networks that have an impact at both local and regional levels. With global perspectives, there is also the opportunity to scale up industrial technologies into successful solutions.

- Daring to innovate and getting help along the way leads to sustainable development. We can connect - and with innovative industrial application - benefit business, society and the environment. It's a win-win-win situation.
