Matchmaking event for capital and talent attraction in the space industry

On November 7-8, the hybrid event Space Investment & Talent Day will be organized in Luleå and Trollhättan. The aim is to connect startups with investors, and students with future employers in the growing space industry.

The event has previously been organized digitally under the name Space Investment Day and attracted both national and international participants. Now the concept is being developed and will take place over two days in a hybrid format.

- It will be the first time that startups as well as students, investors, companies and academia in Sweden meet in a common arena for both raising capital and attracting talent," says Eivind Vogel-Rödin, Head of Operations at Innovatum Science Park in Trollhättan, which is one of three organizers.

Space Investment Day on 7 November focuses on startups and investors and is organized on site in both Trollhättan and Luleå, in parallel with a digital program. During Space Talent Day on November 8, students have the opportunity to meet future employers on site in Luleå, but also digitally. During both days, participants can chat and book meetings with each other via a digital platform.

Pitch competition and several major space players

Several major space actors, such as the Swedish Space Corporation and the European Space Agency (ESA) Careers and Investor Forum, will join some of the top startups in the ESA BIC incubator program in Sweden, Norway and Denmark. Hydromars, Fureho, Ntention, Surplusmap, SAGA Space Architects and Space Composite Structures Denmark are the startups that will also compete in a pitch competition live on stage on November 7.

In addition, a number of prominent speakers from the aerospace industry will take part, including Magnus Lingman, Managing Director of Isar Aerospace, who will talk about the company's exceptional growth journey.

Space Investment & Talent Day is organized by the ESA BIC incubators Innovatum Science Park in Trollhättan and Arctic Business Incubator in Luleå and together with Invest in Norrbotten via the structural fund project Demo North. The event is characterized by new knowledge, interesting opportunities and unforgettable meetings that help shape the future development of the space sector in Sweden.
