Lots going on at Childlife

Emma Lundgren is not only a mother of four and a district nurse at the BVC. She is also an entrepreneur and founder of the Childlife app, which she is currently developing in our incubator.

We called Emma to check on the situation.

What's going on at Childlife right now?

- A lot has happened during the fall and we are now in the middle of an exciting development phase! Among other things, we have been in Stockholm at the fair Underbara barn where we received over 400 leads and made a lot of important contacts. Super fun! We have signed up 14 new partners, including Baby Björn, Lindex and Lekia. We have also started prepping for an investment round in 2023 to quickly develop this and increase the number of users! We have been to Slush in Finland and had interesting meetings.

Childlife was featured at the Underbara Barn fair in the fall.

What updates are coming to the app?

- We have listened to our users and are now developing several new updates that will add value for users. New features in the pipeline:

  • Ability to print photo book from the content you add to the app (e.g. pictures and events, yearbook, whole life photo book, BVC book or all of them)
  • Share their content with others e.g. grandparents
  • Notifications from the BVC that follow the child health care program, either if it is time for vaccination or a doctor's visit or if it is a check-up and what the child is expected to be able to do.
  • We have also added example images to the app to make it easier to understand how it can be used, such as a picture of when the child has learned to sit on its own, started eating food, first tooth, etc. These are then replaced with the parent's own picture.
  • Notifications accompanying these images so that the user is reminded if the child has the first tooth or reminded to make a memory with images of the child approaching 5 months. What has your child learned?
