How do you monitor growth in large seaweed farms far out at sea? The project is developing digital technology that makes it possible to…

In 2024, almost one in four Swedes gave a second-hand Christmas present and, according to a survey by Myrorna, 67% say they are happy to receive a Christmas present that is not newly produced.
- Giving a sustainable gift often requires time, knowledge and creativity - resources we don't always have. For companies with many employees, this is a difficult equation. Six out of ten European companies currently buy gift cards as gifts for their employees, and Regifted is an alternative that lets gadgets live longer - and matches sustainable values," says co-founder Linda Danell.
The digital gift card, which is aimed at companies, municipalities and private individuals, can be used at a growing network of companies across the country - from second-hand shops and repair workshops to rental and subscription services.
- We want to change the way we give gifts and make it easy for more people to give sustainably. With ReGifted, the recipient can, for example, repair their favorite shoes, update their wardrobe with recycled finds or click home market-leading products that extend the life of textiles," Linda continues.
Already today, the gift card works with eleven well-known brands and smaller entrepreneurs: IniMini, Repamera, Biorestore, Pure Effect, Garderoben Shop, Qeenew, Tracks Recycle, Flickornas Magasin, Redressed, EquiReUse, A-K Fahlgren Design and Gemme Collective.
And according to the team, more are on the way.
- "The interest in Regifted among companies that are already driving the circular transition has been great, and we see that the potential is huge. The second-hand market is predicted to continue to grow by more than 11% per year over the next decade and we see that the reachable market for circular gift cards could amount to around SEK 350 million as early as 2025," Linda continues.
To make it easier for companies to join Regifted , the team has also developed a technical solution to make it easier.
- Since we are constantly looking for new circular actors who want to join, we have invested in making it easy for both small and large companies, without complicated integrations between different webshops, says Kristina Martinsson Engstrand, co-founder.
Behind Regifted are Vänersborg entrepreneurs Kristina Martinsson Engstrand and Linda Danell, with many years of experience in driving sustainable transition in the public sector. The idea for Regifted was born after they repeatedly saw how difficult it is to give away a gift to many - which at the same time has a low climate footprint.
The team has been admitted to Innovatum Science Park's incubator since spring 2025.
