Sallapack - Automation solutions in the food industry

Manually portioning food is a resource-intensive and monotonous task. Sallapack wants to make it easier for, for example, catering companies that do not have the opportunity to use the large-scale automation solutions available in larger factories.

The challenge for SMEs (e.g. caterers) is that the large-scale solutions found in larger factories take up too much space, are too costly and difficult to manage, and often require external expertise.

This is where Claes and Nils Wenzelberg's solution comes in!

The team develops mobile and compact portioning machines that are both cost-effective and easy to handle. The technology is modular, which means that the kitchen in question can combine the same machines in a flexible machine line to meet different portioning needs.

In February, Sallapack was accepted into our incubator where they will receive business development support, help with contacts, networking and a whole lot more.

What help do you hope to get through the incubator?

- We are grateful for the advice in setting up strategy now during the start-up phase. The coaches are making sure that we don't miss any important points. Recently, for example, we have received help to obtain seed funding from VGR. Funding will continue to be an issue to deal with, but we also believe that other actors in Innovatum's contact network will be interesting, says Nils Wenzelberg.
