From seas and lakes to coastal farms, Swedish seafood holds great potential. With Seafood Day, the initiators want to create a day to gather around, where we together celebrate blue food and are reminded of the role it can play in the sustainable food system of the future.
Many other countries already celebrate International Seafood Day on October 19. Now it's time for Sweden to do the same - in our own way.
At Innovatum Science Park, we are working to strengthen the blue bioeconomy, where seafood is an important piece of the puzzle in the transition towards more sustainable food production. During the week leading up to Seafood Day, we are therefore offering inspiration and recipes via our Blue Bioeconomy channel on LinkedIn.
Find out more about the initiative and activities around the country on the Seafood Progress website.
Week 42 we celebrate Seafood Day with a focus on Swedish, sustainable seafood.
Follow the Blue Bioeconomy's LinkedIn channel where this week we share recipes that highlight raw materials from the sea - from seaweed omelette to sea stew with mussels. You can also download all the recipes in one PDF.
