Coexistence for increased seafood production
The project aims to increase understanding of the co-existence of different forms of production, "multi-use", at sea and strengthen seafood production value chains on land.
The Nordic Nexus Network (NNN) is a collaboration between partners in Iceland, Norway, Sweden and Denmark with the aim of building strong innovation ecosystems for the food, water and energy of the future. The project is funded by Nordic Innovation and led by the Iceland Ocean Cluster.
By connecting innovation hubs with real-world test environments - such as ports, eco-industrial parks and circular zones - the project aims to accelerate the development of sustainable technologies from idea to market.
Despite strong innovation in the Nordic region, fewer than 40% of solutions reach market maturity today. NNN will help to break down sectoral boundaries, open up access to test environments for startups and small businesses and create a connected Nordic innovation environment.
The project lays the foundation for a larger, long-term collaboration that strengthens the resilience of the Nordic region to future challenges.
