- "It feels great to be a natural part of Eriksberg 2025. With a new and larger stage area, our own lunch service and even more exciting side events during NSS+, Nordic Seafood Summit 2025 will be even better, says Pelle Lindquist Omberg, initiator of Nordic Seafood Summit, which is now facing its third year.
The Nordic Seafood Summit brings together everyone in the seafood value chain, from fishermen and farmers to wholesalers, processors, retailers, restaurants, researchers, decision-makers and authorities. The event is unique in its ambition to bring all stakeholders together to address common conditions, challenges and opportunities.
- "The aim is to develop a sense of community and forward thinking by focusing on solutions rather than problems, on the future rather than the past, and on what unites rather than what creates conflict," says Emelie Hennström, at Innovatum Science Park.
This year's event filled all exhibitor spaces and the feedback from both exhibitors and visitors was generally positive.
- Registration is now open for those who want to exhibit in 2025. It is also possible to register your interest in participating as a sponsor, partner or organizer of a side event within the NSS+ concept. There is room for more initiatives that enrich the meeting place!
Seafood from the Nordic countries is often overlooked, despite the fact that the industry employs thousands of people and is a major employer in many coastal communities.
- We want to be part of creating an infrastructure for the Scandinavian seafood industry where we enable better products, promote more collaborations and highlight the industry's challenges and opportunities," says Joakim Petersen, CEO of Finnvacum, another of the initiators of the fair.
In addition, food from the sea will become increasingly important with growing demands for national food self-sufficiency. A lot is currently happening in this area with investments in increased domestic production of sustainable seafood.
- To create increased knowledge and volumes for the food that can be produced in Sweden, NSS will this year focus, among other things, on how good and healthy seafood can become more common in public kitchens, but the program will deal with many exciting topics in the field of seafood, says Fredrik Grund at Innovatum Science Park.
