Hantino develops the building solutions of the future - with support from the incubator

Martin Blomfeldt has been running a construction company since 2012 and has encountered many inefficiencies over the years. But instead of seeing obstacles, Martin has seen solutions. His start-up company Hantino was born out of a passion for innovation and a desire to create sustainable solutions that really make a difference.

- I have always been a problem solver! During my years in the construction industry, I realized how many unnecessary and inefficient steps there are. This made me think about how I could make things easier, both for myself and my colleagues. Six years ago, I started drawing in CAD and 3D printing product solutions for myself, colleagues and friends," says Martin.

The products he developed covered everything from how tools are stored and transported, to facilitating the construction process itself.

Product solutions started to be in demand

- When people started asking if they could use my products, it struck me that this could be something bigger," he continues.

Almost exactly one year ago, Martin decided to go all in and develop products to commercialize.

- I wanted to build something that not only solves problems for me and my colleagues, but can help the whole industry.

Needed a sounding board

The further Martin got in his development, the greater the need for a more solid sounding board from someone with experience in entrepreneurship, and who had made the journey himself. Innovatum Science Park's incubator was a natural step.

- "I had reached a point where I needed support, someone to discuss ideas and strategies with," he says.

A post on LinkedIn from business coach Magnus Mollstedt caught Martin's attention.

- I became curious about what the incubator was. When I went to the website, the heading "Is your startup ready for the fast lane?" appeared, and I was! When I read more about the incubator, I quickly realized what a super concept it was and decided to apply. I don't regret it for a second!

Martin was admitted to the incubator in late summer 2024 with his start-up company Hantino.

Test with leading builders' merchants

Hantino was admitted to the incubator in late summer 2024, and a lot has happened since then.

Martin has developed a prototype for his first commercial product, which he has tested on a small scale and further developed based on feedback from craftsmen, customers and manufacturers. He has now also had the chance to test and evaluate the prototype product on a wider scale with one of Sweden's leading builders' merchants.

During the fall, Hantino has been granted both an innovation check and a business loan from Almi and verification funds from Vinnova, which can be applied for via the incubator.

- The funding has really enabled more efficient product development.

Launching kitchen product soon

Hantino's first product, to be launched in 2025, focuses on what is often called the heart of the home - the kitchen. The installation and maintenance of roof connections and fittings in kitchens is a time-consuming task that usually requires both precision and different types of tools. The product developed by Martin will change this!

- Unlike today's solutions, Hantino's product does not require screws, tools or even a yardstick, which simplifies and streamlines the assembly work. In addition, it enables easy disassembly and reassembly, for example, when replacing transformers and mandatory functional checks of ventilation systems," concludes Martin.
