Siemens-Energy AB - Robin Naviga
Siemens Energy, which works with combustion chambers for gas power plants, has developed new methods in Trollhättan for pressing and welding together the chamber of high-alloy sheet metal. This replaces the outdated and significantly more expensive casting. They want to be a leader in the transition to a sustainable society and are committed to integrating 100% hydrogen into their burners.
PTC Innovation - Stefan Björklund
The company was born out of a research project from University West, they develop and sell equipment for advanced thermal spraying of ceramics or metals with high heat and wear resistance. By spraying wear surfaces of almost anything with 20 nanometer thin layers, durability can be significantly increased. An exciting example is the 20 billion project with the new particle accelerator in Lund, where PTC Innovation helped spray key components with ceramic material that provides color indication to ensure that the 5 MW energy beams hit the right spot.
University West - Leif Magnus Jensen
Leif Magnus belongs to a growing group of teachers/researchers in industrial economics and works in his group at University West with processes with logistics, processes and improvements for more efficient production. They are currently looking for more projects together with companies and the research that takes place towards the master's program in industrial economics. They also have several students who are looking for exciting assignments for their master's theses.
University West - Lennart Malmsköld
University West (HV) has successfully offered contract education to companies. The courses are short, customized courses designed to increase the skills of companies and disseminate the knowledge available at the university. In the spring, there is the opportunity to collaborate with students who do their thesis during the spring. In the fall, these collaborations are well suited to channel their ideas and needs so that they can start in the spring semester of 2025.HV's focus areas are various manufacturing processes, mainly welding, thermal spraying, 3D printing in metal, automation and AI automation, and process control.
GKN Aerospace - Anders Björnson
Much of the success and development of GKN Aerospace is based on the cooperation with all local companies in the region. Here, the collaboration within PTC is the most shining example. The company has a number of Global Technology Centers in the world and PTC is the template when they create new ones and also for how they want to run the others. The technical expertise available in Trollhättan has been inherited through generations from Nohab's locomotives.
Empir Industry - Daniel Johansson
