The Production Technology Centre (PTC) has started a series of breakfast meetings with lectures and discussions on interesting and topical subjects such as electrification, digitalization and circular business models.

PTC is a network and a meeting place where companies and academia collaborate with the aim of developing technology and methods, increasing and attracting skills, developing production technology solutions and creating new business opportunities.

Networks and new partners

An important part of the network is to have the opportunity to meet each other to exchange experiences and find opportunities for cooperation. To promote this, breakfast meetings were started in the fall of 2022 under the name PTC Live. Interest has been great on the two occasions held and the breakfast meetings, which are aimed at PTC's partners and other companies that are interested, will continue monthly during 2023.

PTC is run by the main parties Innovatum Science Park, University West, GKN Aerospace, Swerim and IUC West and 16 companies are active partners.

- "The main benefit is networking and finding new partners, and we are open to suggestions for topics to discuss in this forum," says Tommy Christensen, Innovation Manager Sustainable Industry and Executive Director of the PTC.

At the next PTC Live on 17 January, Lars Walter, professor of work-integrated learning with a focus on industrial digitization, will talk about some of the challenges faced by industry and the opportunities that arise.
