Mareld takes a seat in the incubator

In May, Mareld won our Venture Cup award, arguing that their technology has the potential to revolutionize food industry processes in a way that promotes sustainable development. Now they are joining the incubator, where the team will receive business development support and help to reach new heights.
- We are incredibly excited to get started with the collaboration for real! In fact, we have already received some help from our business coach Frida and are really impressed! We are absolutely sure that we can get a lot of necessary help from Innovatum and are really excited to see what we can achieve together, says co-founder Viktor Wirén.
The team behind Mareld consists of co-founders Viktor Wirén, Gustav Palm and Håkan Envall.
Reduces test time up to 89%
So what does Mareld actually do? In simple terms, they develop technology that streamlines testing processes in the food industry, which can not only save time and money, but also increase safety and reduce waste.
All food consumed by humans has to undergo numerous tests that ensure the quality of the products. Today, the process is time-consuming and for a dairy producing 55,000 liters of milk per hour, or a packaging producer producing 82 tons of material per hour, every minute and hour matters.
Mareld has developed technology that can provide a prediction of the result after just 8 hours, reducing testing time by up to 89%.
As the winner of the Innovatum Science Park Award, Mareld received SEK 10,000 and was offered a place in our incubator. Here they will now receive business development support from coaches who have made startup journeys themselves, help with contacts, networks, financing issues and a lot more.
