Grewbik wants to revolutionize the bike industry

In 2023, Antonio Budes was one of the winners of the Young Entrepreneurs initiative in Trollhättan, where nine young teams received professional help to design, 3D print and further develop their product ideas. Since this spring, he has been admitted to our incubator with the business idea Grewbik.

What does Grewbike do?

The vision is to revolutionize and create a positive impact in the cycling industry by offering innovative and versatile cycling solutions that are adaptable, cost-effective and sustainable. The prototype you see in the picture is an ergonomic children's bike with an adaptable frame that can be adjusted for children of different age groups. The idea is to contribute to environmental benefits and economic sustainability by reducing the need for families to buy multiple bicycles as their children grow up.

What did winning Young Entrepreneurs mean?

Winning the Young Entrepreneurs competition was a real game changer for me! I had the opportunity to 3D print the first prototype, which was a crucial milestone. Holding the physical bike in my hands was an incredible feeling and gave me the power to believe even more in my idea. The help I received there was invaluable and really accelerated the development of the Grewbik bike.

What has happened since you joined the incubator?

Joining the incubator has been a big milestone for me. It has opened doors to a network of experts, funding support, and business coaches to help me navigate everything from business development to product design and further development of the product. This journey is giving me the tools to take the Grewbik bike from an idea to a real product, and I'm so grateful for all the help I get every day!

The initiative Young Entrepreneurs in Trollhättan was organized by Innovatum Science Park, the City of Trollhättan, Ung företagsamhet Fyrbodal and Drivhuset at University West. The video interview with Antonio is from the kick-off when Antonio pitched his idea Grewbike.
