Want to ensure quality of work for carpenters

Last updated: 2024-10-24 09:35

Jonas Paulsson from our pre-incubator together with business coach Jan Björn.

Jonas Paulsson is not only a carpenter and self-employed. He is also one of the participants in our new pre-incubator, where he is now developing a product that he himself has long needed.

Jonas Paulsson from Dals-Ed runs the construction company JP Bygg & Finsnickeri. Almost ten years ago, he had an idea for a product that could simplify and quality-assure the work of installing plinths - the pipes that stabilize and support, for example, houses and terraces.

During his years as a carpenter and self-employed, the idea has been lying dormant in his back pocket, but the need for the product has often been felt. When we launched the first edition of our pre-incubator in December, Jonas jumped at the chance! A move he does not regret.

Has 3D printed prototype in Makerspace

In our Makerspace, Jonas, with the help of 3D printers and the support of our business coach and technology guru Jan Björn, has managed to create a prototype of his product that will now be tested.

During the weekly meetings at the pre-incubator, he has learned more about how to test-drive his product, how to price it, who the potential customers are, and much more. The program continues for another month, ending with a "Demo Day" where he gets to practice pitching his idea to others.

We look forward to following Jonas' journey and hopefully we can also reveal more about the product he is developing soon.
