The aviation industry is facing a major transition to become more sustainable, creating the need for new solutions. This may involve, for example, reducing the weight of aircraft, changing fuel or exploring the possibilities of electric aircraft. The space sector is also undergoing change, with smaller, cheaper and more satellites, as well as a greater amount of data from space to be utilized. The long experience and expertise available both nationally and regionally enable Sweden to take a leading position in this transition.
The project is based on three principle needs to develop the competitiveness of companies and organizations within ACS:
- Strengthen the internal network between companies and organizations within ACS
- Increase the external contact areas with potential customers for ACS members, especially internationally
- Give companies and organizations increased understanding of opportunities and challenges in sustainable aviation and satellite data
Activities targeting these needs will contribute to companies' opportunities to do new business both nationally and internationally.
